UpTest! (“we”) provides practice questions and tools to help students prepare for the AP® Statistics exam, and class tools for teachers. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is operated by UpTest. Questions: support@uptest-prep.com.
What we collect
- If you subscribe on this website: your email address, the date, and which page you used.
- If you create an account: your email address, your name if you give it, whether you are a student or a teacher, and the classes you join.
- As you practice: your answers, scores, progress, and which topics you find difficult.
- If you buy a plan: payments are handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of your plan, never your card number.
- Technical information: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address and browser type, for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To run your account, score your practice, and show you your progress.
- To show a student’s class activity to the teacher whose class code the student joined.
- To improve our questions and explanations.
- To send the guide and occasional study tips to people who subscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
Free-response scoring and AI
When you submit a free-response answer for AI scoring, the text of your answer is sent to our AI provider so it can produce feedback. We do not send your name or email with it. We do not use your answers to train AI models.
Who else sees your information
We use service providers to run UpTest!: Google (Firebase hosting, authentication, and database), Stripe (payments), and an AI provider (free-response scoring). They may only use your information to provide their service to us. We do not sell personal information, and we do not show advertising or use advertising trackers. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The app stores what it needs to keep you signed in.
Children and students
UpTest! is designed for high school students and teachers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it. Schools that need a student data privacy agreement may contact us.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time with the link in any email.
- Ask us to see, correct, or delete your information by writing to support@uptest-prep.com.
How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open. We delete or anonymize it within a reasonable time after you ask us to close it, unless the law requires us to keep something.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect yours.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.
